And once your project is finished, I can help plan and provide the scientific monitoring that agencies and grant-funders often require.
Consultation and Planning
A successful restoration project starts with a good plan. I am available for free over-the-phone consultations and can come visit your site to assess what kind of restoration strategies would be most appropriate. I have experience implementing BDAs (beaver dam analogs), PALS (post-assisted log structures) and a range of other modern system-based restoration techniques.

Navigating the various permits and paperwork can be daunting. I have years of experience dealing with bureaucracy and can help clarify the process and make sure you stay in compliance. I can also help secure funding from government and non-government sources by writing grants to ensure your project is on solid financial footing.

Government agencies and grant funders often require scientific monitoring and data collection after a project. As a trained fished biologist, I know the techniques and methodologies to conduct science-based surveys and analyses that these projects require, including snorkel surveys, flow monitoring, and more.
